The McLaren F1 Team has been rattled by news of a security breach as a masked intruder was witnessed sneaking a bag full of bricks into Oscar Piastri’s garage. According to a witness, the breach occurred mere hours after McLaren clinched their second F1 World Constructors’ Championship trophy in as many years at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix while continuing celebrations held the attention of the majority of racegoers. The intruder was seen carrying a bag full of bricks and has been described as “a middle-aged caucasian male, about 6-feet tall and of solid build”. They were reportedly wearing “a full McLaren F1 Team uniform with matching balaclava” as they snuck into Oscar Piastri’s garage, only to emerge approximately 7 minutes later holding an empty bag. McLaren F1 Boss, Zak Brown, has been particularly vocal about the incident.
“I am so gosh darn peeved about all of this, gee whiz”, he grumbled, “It’s not fair. We do everything we can to give both drivers equal opportunity and then this lowlife tampers with Oscar’s car.” “It’s no wonder that Oscar’s been so uncharacteristically slow for the last couple of weekends and lost the Championship lead to our beautiful sweet Lando.” On the night the incident occurred, the CCTV system unfortunately malfunctioned. “You try to save a bit of money on the cheaper stuff and this is what happens”, lamented Zak as he rolled his eyes, “so we have to trust the witness’s testimony, and we all know how unreliable they are. It could have been a lost 80-year-old woman carrying a bowl of laksa for all we know.” McLaren have announced that they will be doing a thorough internal investigation. “We’ll do an in-depth review and will do everything in our power to catch whoever did this”, Zak assured racing fans. “Trust me when I say that I am the most upset about all of this, and when we catch the culprit I will personally punish them myself. So leave it with me, there’s no need to involve the police or FIA.” “We’ve noted the incident, we’ll review all of the evidence and, if we have time, we’ll check Oscar’s car for hidden bricks after Abu Dhabi.”
More to come.
